Jeremy Renner's remarkable progress in his recovery from a near-fatal snowplow accident in January was vividly captured this week. To celebrate "10 months of recovery," the "Avengers" actor posted an Instagram video showcasing his ability to hop down a hill and swiftly ascend back up.
"Engaging in this activity for the first time, especially on a challenging incline, evoked tears of elation, optimism, and heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support from my loved ones," the caption expressed.
Renner's accomplishment is truly remarkable, particularly when considering his previous disclosure on social media about enduring more than 30 fractures from the accident, which included a severely fractured shinbone and a fractured knee.
Renners suffered severe injuries when he was trapped beneath a snow-removal tractor at his Nevada residence on New Year's Day. His brave attempt to prevent the vehicle from sliding and harming his nephew resulted in his body being crushed.
The extent of his injuries is alarming, including fractures in eight ribs at multiple locations, a fractured eye socket, a collapsed lung, and a pierced liver. Since then, Renners has been using his social media platforms to share his journey through months of intensive rehabilitation.
Renner, in a recent interview with CNN, expressed his immense gratitude for being able to walk, live life, and feel blessed and fortunate. He acknowledged that it is all a mental game. Additionally, Renner regularly expresses appreciation towards his followers, family, and friends for their ongoing support throughout his journey to recovery.
"I keep pushing for many reasons," he wrote on Thursday. "But you are my fuel."
