In an Instagram post, Renner shared that he had suffered over 30 fractures and has been painstakingly recovering. Titled 'Love and Titanium', the process of creating this music has been both painful and deeply healing for Renner, ultimately leading to a cathartic experience. He expresses the hope of finding the courage to share it with his fans.

The phrase "Love and Titanium" is a nod to Renner's comment during his interview with Diane Sawyer in March, where he expressed, "This experience has taken a toll on me physically and emotionally, but I've been rejuvenated and strengthened with love and titanium."
