Jennie Garth recently spoke to We about her friend Tori Spelling's resilience during her divorce from Dean McDermott.

"She's a strong girl, although she may not admit it," Garth, 52, shared with Us about Spelling, 51, while discussing her new podcast, "I Choose Me with Jennie Garth." "I believe Tori is currently in a phase where she will discover a lot about herself. I am thrilled that she is experiencing this period of personal growth."

Spelling and Garth have been best friends since their time on Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 2000, long before Spelling married McDermott in 2006.

Garth shared with Us on Friday that they still work together on their BFF Collection with QVC, enjoying creating it and doing their podcast. Despite the years that have passed, their friendship remains strong.

Garth and Spelling, known for their home decor line The BFF Collection on QVC, also co-host the “90210MG” podcast together. Garth shared that her life would have been very different if she hadn't chosen to be a part of 90210.

When they first met on the set of 90210, Garth mentioned that she and Spelling instantly clicked and became like sisters. Throughout the 90210 franchise, Spelling portrayed Donna Martin and Garth played Kelly Taylor, appearing in all 10 seasons of the original show, as well as The CW’s 90210 reboot and the BH90210 spinoff in 2019.

Garth shared with Us that they were all very close at different times and felt like a family, like sisters. The bond they created as young girls is strong and will never be broken. Despite being very different people, Garth and Tori love each other deeply and have always seen themselves as opposites in many ways.

Spelling filed for divorce from McDermott, 57, in March after 17 years of marriage due to irreconcilable differences. McDermott had previously announced their separation on Instagram in June 2023, but the post was later deleted. The couple got married in 2006 and have five children together: Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7. McDermott also has a son, Jack, 25, from his previous marriage with Mary Jo Eustace.

McDermott has already submitted his own paperwork, asking for joint physical and legal custody of their five children. Meanwhile, Spelling has requested sole custody in her filing. Despite their legal issues, the exes seem to be on good terms. McDermott even defended his estranged wife when she showed support for his new girlfriend, Lily Calo.

In a post on Instagram on Friday, May 17, McDermott praised Spelling, calling her a highly evolved and compassionate person. He also addressed the negative comments from trolls, stating that people sometimes divorce and are happier apart. He expressed his wishes for happiness for all the haters.

Spelling is currently dating advertising CEO Ryan Cramer.

According to an insider who spoke exclusively to Us in November 2023, Tori met Ryan through work several months ago. She found him charming and handsome. Tori is thrilled about the new relationship, despite people commenting on Ryan's resemblance to Dean.
