Jenna Bush Hager knows the struggle that many parents face when trying to put together their children's toys. On a recent episode of Today With Hoda and Jenna, she shared her experience with assembling a Paw Patrol tent for her son, Hal. The tent, which cost about $9.99, was a gift for Hal because he loves the Rubble and Crew spinoff characters.

Bush Hager described the challenges she faced while setting up the tent, highlighting the confusion and frustration that can come with assembling toys. She mentioned how it took multiple people and a lot of time to figure out how to put the tent together. The process involved trying to fit cords into different parts of the tent and questioning if certain pieces were in the right place. And let's not even get started on trying to take it all apart!

Kotb, 59, chuckled and replied, "No, you'd have to toss it out eventually."

However, Bush Hager continued, sharing that she is familiar with putting together toys for her 4-year-old son, Hal, whom she has with her husband Henry Chase Hager. The couple also has two daughters, Mila, 10, and Poppy, 8.

When someone gives your child a Lego set, even though Legos are great for kids' brains, it can sometimes lead to a situation like this. Your child, like Henry in this case, is excited to build the set with a friend, in this case Hal. But when it comes time to actually build it, Henry is nowhere to be found, leaving Hal to ask, "Can we do the Lego set today?"

Bush Hager's story about Henry and Hal and their Lego set dilemma was met with laughter from Kotb and the crew on set.

When your kid is 4 but the game is for ages 8 and up, you find yourself reading the instructions like, ‘A to B — where are my glasses — C to D?’” the Today cohost shared. You start questioning your fine motor skills as your child gives you a puzzled look, wondering why you're struggling. Instead of dealing with this on a Monday, you'd rather be in bed watching Paw Patrol or relaxing in a makeshift tent in a closet.

Bush Hager is relatable as a mom, recently admitting that she dresses herself for public appearances after fans suggested she should “fire” her stylists. She describes herself as a “last-minute” person and her personal style as “classic, laid-back, and bohemian,” often seen in blouses, blazers, and jeans.

"People often assume that because I work on television, I have a stylist. But I have to set the record straight - I would be firing myself," Bush Hager revealed in an interview with InStyle last month. She also mentioned how people would ask about her outfits and if they could get them from her stylist.

On the Today show, Bush Hager frequently talks about her children. During a segment on February 14, she shared a heartwarming story about her son Hal's surprising reaction to seeing her on TV for the first time.

Hal Hager was unaware of my job and where I spent my days. I decided to show him the opening of our show, which led to him getting emotional. I couldn't tell if he felt tricked or if he simply didn't enjoy the show's theme song, "Get On Up."

New episodes of Today With Hoda and Jenna are broadcast on NBC every weekday at 10 a.m. ET.
