AEW star and Executive Producer of Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett, expresses his desire to collaborate with wrestling legends Andre the Giant and Jake "The Snake" Roberts, both of whom are featured in the upcoming WrestleQuest video game. Throughout his extensive career spanning decades, Jarrett has faced off against some of the industry's most prominent figures. As Jarrett continues his in-ring journey, there remain countless opportunities for him to compete against more wrestling stars in the future.
Throughout his extensive career in WWE, WCW, TNA, and currently AEW, Jeff Jarrett has crossed paths with nearly every prominent wrestler from the 90s and 2000s. With his on-screen interactions encompassing a wide range of wrestlers, including those featured in the WrestleQuest video game, Jarrett has yet to have the opportunity to face Andre the Giant or Jake Roberts in the ring.
Game Rant recently interviewed Jeff Jarrett and the developers of WrestleQuest regarding the new game and Jarrett's renowned career. Inquiring about potential collaborations, we asked Jarrett if there were any active wrestlers he still had a desire to work with. Furthermore, we questioned whether there were any legends featured in WrestleQuest with whom he had not yet had the opportunity to collaborate but wished he had. Jarrett promptly responded, stating, "It's quite simple: Andre the Giant. Although he was approaching the twilight of his career when I was just beginning, he occasionally worked for my father during the late 70s and early 80s." Notably, Jarrett expressed his regret for never having wrestled against Jake Roberts. "There is an extensive list of 80s superstars with whom I never had the chance to step into the ring," lamented Jarrett.
When it comes to the modern wrestling stars he would like to collaborate with, Jarrett chose not to mention any specific names. He expressed his gratitude for still being able to step into the ring on numerous Wednesdays for AEW Dynamite, although not every week. Therefore, he remains uncertain about who his future opponents will be. Jarrett's upcoming match on AEW Dynamite, scheduled for Wednesday, August 16, involves him going head-to-head with Jeff Hardy in a Texas Chain Saw Massacre Deathmatch, which aims to promote the forthcoming asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Those interested in wrestling can tune in to AEW Dynamite on Wednesday to witness Jarrett's clash with Jeff Hardy. Additionally, gaming enthusiasts can expect to encounter Jarrett in the WrestleQuest video game later this month.
WrestleQuest launches August 22 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
