However, in an interview with Game Rant, James Deighan from Mega Cat expressed that Jim Cornette, in particular, was always desired by the developers. Deighan confessed his admiration for Cornette, stating, "I wish we could have had Jim Cornette. I'm a huge Cornette fan. I'm in the Cornette Facebook groups. Even when I fell out of following wrestling closely, I was still following the Cornette stuff."

It appears that the absence of these renowned wrestling managers in WrestleQuest can be attributed to the game's abundance of content. "We've exceeded the initial scope of the game," Deighan explained. "Taking into account the additional content, it amounts to 80 hours of gameplay. Therefore, at some point, we had to unofficially draw the line and begin discussing DLC and future installments." When inquired about the possibility of Jim Cornette joining WrestleQuest as DLC or featuring in a sequel, Deighan answered, "No agreements have been finalized, but it's definitely on our wish list."
