Jay-Z recently won the approval of his daughter, Blue Ivy. The renowned 53-year-old rapper and record producer discussed his bond with the 11-year-old in a series of interviews with Gayle King for CBS Mornings. King, aged 68, inquired whether his children perceived him as cool, to which Jay-Z amusingly shared that Blue had initially been critical but has now changed her stance.

Jay-Z jokingly mentioned that she used to act a little distant towards him, but now he has found a way to catch her attention. He mentioned that he notices her in a corner, and now she seeks his opinion on whether her sneakers are cool. When King inquired if this meant that Blue seeks his fashion advice, Jay-Z confidently confirmed it.

Jay-Z proceeded to reveal that there was a period when Blue used to feel embarrassed by him, causing him to reassure her by saying, "I'm cool. I don't understand what you're saying. I'm cool! You have cool parents! In your home, your parents are cool."

Jay-Z and Beyoncé, who tied the knot in April 2008, are the proud parents of Blue. Additionally, the couple also has 6-year-old twins named Rumi and Sir.

On August 11, 2023, Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter took the stage at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of the "RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR." The captivating performance was captured by Kevin Mazur/WireImage for Parkwood.

Blue's talent and star power are undeniable. Earlier this year, she caught the attention of the world when she shared the stage with her mother, Beyoncé, during the Renaissance World Tour. Their powerful performance of "My Power" left audiences in awe. Blue's confident and daring skills were showcased not only in Paris but also in other captivating concert stops including London, New Jersey, Atlanta, Houston, and New Orleans. This tour, which marked Beyoncé's seventh studio album, concluded in Kansas City on October 1. Blue has already achieved significant music milestones even before this tour.

Blue, at the age of 9, achieved Grammy success in March 2021 by winning the Best Music Video award for Beyoncé's popular song "Brown Skin Girl" from the acclaimed Lion King movie soundtrack, Black Is King. Blue also earned a writing credit for the song.

The talented Beyoncé further solidified her place in music history during the 66th annual Grammy ceremony in February. With her 32nd win, she surpassed the previous record of 31 held by the late Georg Solti, making her the most awarded artist in Grammy History. Beyoncé's 32nd award came in the category of Best Dance/Electronic Album for Renaissance. The category featured other notable nominees including Bonobo, Diplo, Odesza, and Rüfüs du Sol.

Beyoncé won her fourth award of the evening. She was awarded Best Traditional R&B Performance for her song "Plastic Off the Sofa" and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for "Break My Soul" during the pre-telecast ceremony. Later, during the telecast, she received the award for Best R&B Song for "Cuff It."
