Jason Oppenheim is firmly backing Bre Tiesi in her conflict with Cassandra Repstad this season on Selling Sunset. "I'm fully in support of Bre," Jason, 46, shared exclusively with We on Tuesday, October 31, prior to the season 7 debut of the Netflix show. "In my opinion, she had every reason to react the way she did."

In season 7 of Selling Sunset, Cassandra is introduced to viewers towards the end. Chelsea, her costar, brings her into the Oppenheim Group. Although Cassandra is currently working at another real estate firm, Chelsea decides to introduce her to her coworkers in the hopes of her joining the team. Tension arises when Bre and Cassandra interact on screen for the first time. Cassandra claims they already know each other, but Bre argues that their familiarity is only through social media.

Jason told Us that he discovered Bre and Cassandra's history simultaneously with the viewers. He mentioned that he wasn't present there often, which puts him in the same position as the audience. He admitted to not having additional knowledge about the situation compared to the audience.

The tension between the two women reaches its peak during the season finale as Cassandra confronts Bre at an Oppenheim party, questioning why Bre has been distant towards her. However, Bre opts not to engage in the conversation, prompting Cassandra to accuse her of having a negative reputation in the industry. In response, Bre storms out of the party and dramatically removes her microphone, leaving her current status with the real estate group uncertain.

Viewers are eagerly awaiting confirmation on whether Bre will be returning to the Oppenheim Group for the next season. Jason hinted that the ultimate decision lies with Bre herself.

"The situation is not completely transparent, to be honest," Jason shared with Us on Tuesday. "It's a question that she would have to answer, but in terms of our relationship, I believe there is still a mutual respect. We still communicate, so it's really up to her to make the call."

Since joining Selling Sunset in season 6, Bre has faced both highs and lows. She encountered conflicts with Cassandra and Chelsea, with Chelsea criticizing Bre's relationship with Cannon, who is 42 years old and the father of their 15-month-old son, Legendary. Chelsea later acknowledged that her comments were hurtful and decided to distance herself from Bre. In regards to the drama with Cassandra, Jason was not the only Selling Sunset star to come to Bre's defense in season 7. Mary Fitzgerald also commended Bre for her handling of the tense situation, suggesting that there may be more to their drama than what was shown on screen.

"I was unaware of the situation when I entered it. I had a suspicion that there might be additional factors at play, ones that I didn't comprehend and hadn't been informed about," she shared exclusively with Us on Wednesday, November 1. "In retrospect, it felt like an extremely peculiar circumstance, and Bre handled it admirably by choosing to defuse it and then simply removing herself from it. If she hadn't, the situation would only have intensified."
