Jason and Kylie Kelce, formerly known as Kylie McDevitt, didn't hold back and responded to the parenting critics who had negative remarks about a video that went viral featuring the football star enjoying a game of catch with his daughters.

"Tuesday's practice session consisted of fetch, while today focused on basic commands," Kylie, 31, shared via her Instagram Story on Thursday, August 3. This comment seems to be directed at those who criticized Jason, 35, for playing "fetch" with their older children earlier in the week. (Jason and Kylie are the parents of Wyatt, 3, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett Llewellyn, 4 months.)

The video shows Jason on the football field at the Philadelphia Eagles' preseason training camp with Wyatt, Elliotte, and their dog. The NFL star instructs the dog and his young daughters to "sit," pointing downward. While the dog doesn't comply, Elliotte obediently sits on the ground as her dad playfully urges her to "roll over."

The Eagles and the NFL recently posted a joint Instagram Reel on their respective pages, showing Jason goofing around with his daughters after completing his training. The team captioned the clip on Tuesday, August 1 as "@jason.kelce always stays late after practice to play with his daughters."

Jason can be seen in the video reclining on the turf, tossing a football for his daughters to chase after. As they sprint to retrieve the ball, Jason initiates a countdown to determine the quickest return.

While some fans regarded it as a heartfelt moment between the father and his daughters, others criticized the football player for treating his kids like animals by playing "fetch." Kylie defended the incident on her Instagram Story at that time, sharing the video clip.

"People in the comments are claiming he's treating his kids like dogs by playing 'fetch'!" she wrote. "Just admit that you don't understand young children. If you actually pay attention, you can hear him counting. They are technically having a race."

Kylie and Jason got married in April 2018, almost three years after meeting on a dating app. A year later, they started building their family. Despite keeping their personal life private, their daughters have become avid supporters of the Eagles, showing their love for their father.

In the beginning of this year, Wyatt became an internet sensation for her spirited cheering for the Eagles, but soon fell asleep after her father and his team secured a victory during the 2022-2023 season's playoffs and advanced to Super Bowl LVII. (Unfortunately, the Eagles eventually lost the game to the Kansas City Chiefs, who happen to have Jason's brother, Travis Kelce, playing for them.)
