Meghan Markle praised her husband Prince Harry for being the true athlete in the family.
During their visit to Nigeria, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex went to the Giants of Africa basketball exhibition in Lagos on the last day of their tour. Markle spoke to a group of organizers and students during the event.
The couple visited Ilupeju Senior Grammar School on Sunday, May 11, to announce a partnership between the Archwell Foundation and Giants of Africa, a charity that uses basketball to empower and engage youth.
During her speech, Meghan, 42, expressed her excitement to be there, mentioning her past experience living in Toronto for seven years and attending Raptors games. She first learned about Giants of Africa during her time in the city. Giants of Africa was founded by Masai Ujiri, an NBA champion and president of the Toronto Raptors.
"Can you believe how things have come full circle?" she exclaimed. "I never imagined we'd be in a position to support the amazing growth of this organization through our foundation, the Archewell Foundation. We're incredibly grateful and proud of the work being done, and we appreciate everyone who has contributed to making this happen today."

Harry and Meghan began their official tour of Nigeria by visiting a school in Abuja, the capital city, on Friday, May 10. The next day, Meghan took part in a panel discussion on women in leadership, where she openly talked about the challenges of juggling motherhood and a career.
The couple's trip to the African country is also a special way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which Harry helped create to support injured military veterans. During their second day in Nigeria, they joined a volleyball match organized by Nigeria: Unconquered, a charity connected to the Invictus Games.

During the volleyball game, Meghan Markle shared with 9-year-old Tiwa Akanbi that Prince Harry is a fan of the American sport and is skilled at playing it.
“She said Prince Harry loves to play volleyball and that he’s very good at it,” Akanbi told People on Saturday. “And she asked me if I play volleyball in my school. And I said yes.”
