Kelsea Ballerini has a great day every day, but Chase Stokes only has a great day if Ballerini looks at him.
Ballerini, 30, hosted a Halloween Party in New York City on October 25. She wore a hot pink cowgirl outfit inspired by Margot Robbie's character in Barbie, while Stokes, 31, opted for a casual street style look. The event, sponsored by the Original Donut Shop Coffee, took place at Beauty & Essex.
During the party, Ballerini acted as a judge for a costume contest and entertained guests by singing and dancing on stage. A trusted source revealed that Stokes took a backseat, allowing Ballerini to take center stage. The couple left the party together and headed to Flaming Saddles bar, holding hands.
The couple made a striking appearance at the Time100 Next gala on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Ballerini donned a stunning Stella McCartney dress with a stylish shoulder to hip cutout, while Stokes looked extremely dashing in a tan trench coat, black T-shirt, and matching trousers. Their relationship began in January after Ballerini's divorce from Morgan Evans, which was announced in August 2022.
The pair continued to spend time together, but it wasn't until a February podcast episode of "Call Her Daddy" that they officially confirmed their relationship. During her appearance, she disclosed that she had messaged Stokes through a direct message. "[My manager] mentioned, 'You know who's really attractive, like, when you're ready? Chase," she excitedly expressed. "I thought, 'You're absolutely right.' His handle is 'hichasestokes' and I simply wrote, 'Hi Chase Stokes.'"

The couple's relationship has grown stronger over time, with both actively supporting each other's careers on social media. They have also been affectionate in public and attended various events together.
In a recent interview with Nylon, Ballerini shared her thoughts before initiating contact with Stokes. She expressed, "I questioned why I was waiting for him to reach out to me when it's already 2022." Ballerini took the initiative and sent him a now-famous direct message at 1:07 a.m. She confidently stated, "I was enjoying my life to the fullest and have no regrets about that," as mentioned in the publication.
"We exude the energetic nature of golden retrievers most of the time, yet possess a hint of assertiveness and an unwavering motivation," she expressed to the magazine, commending Stokes. "He is the first person I've been in a relationship with who I don't perceive as my complete opposite."
