During their first on-air conversation since their split in 2021, Jana Kramer and Mike Caussin openly discussed their personal lives. On Jana Kramer's podcast, "Whine Down With Jana Kramer," Caussin, 36, was questioned about the status of his love life. In response, he shared, "Yes, I am currently dating someone."

“Wait a minute, what happened?” Kramer, 39, said.

“Things change, things evolve,” Caussin replied, to which Kramer said, “OK … news.”

The alum of One Tree Hill and Caussin tied the knot in 2015 and have a daughter named Jolie, aged 7, and a son named Jace, aged 4. However, their marriage became tumultuous due to Caussin's multiple affairs, leading to their separation in 2021.

On Instagram, Kramer expressed her emotions, stating, "It's time. The reality I never wanted to accept has now become my truth. I have fought, loved, forgiven, and put in the effort. I have given my all, and now there is nothing left for me to give."

In Kramer's newly published book, titled The Next Chapter: Embracing Difficult Memories, Discovering Hope Everywhere, and Making Room for Positive Opportunities, she recounts a specific incident in 2021 where Caussin volunteered to do the laundry but neglected to do it promptly.

As a result, an argument ensued between them, during which Caussin reportedly uttered, "I had no idea you were so incapable." He then allegedly hurled wet laundry at Kramer, who was in the midst of recovering from breast augmentation surgery.

When Kramer lost her balance and fell, tears streamed down her face. In her book, she recounted the incident, quoting, "That didn't hurt," with true insensitivity. Although she did not mention Caussin by name.

Following their breakup, the couple scheduled a meeting to discuss the details of their divorce. Eventually, they reached an agreement that involved Kramer providing him with more financial support in exchange for time with their children. (We have confirmed that Kramer pays Caussin $3,200 per month for child support, in addition to a settlement amounting to $592,400.)

"As I was leaving, my ex uttered the painful words, 'You know, I never truly loved you,' indicating his intention to harm me. And news flash, it succeeded," she expressed. "I had already taken significant steps away from him and towards a new future in the last few weeks. However, hearing those words confirmed the small voice in my mind that had been telling me all along that his actions and words during our marriage were a result of his lack of love for me."

Currently, it seems that the two of them are on amicable terms, as Kramer recently disclosed that Caussin had shared a beer with her fiancé, Allan Russell. (Kramer and Russell, 42, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child together, a baby boy. Additionally, the Scottish soccer coach has a son named Troy, who is 16, and a former stepdaughter named Claudia from a previous relationship.)

During a September 25 episode of her podcast, Kramer shared that her ex-husband visited their home to drop off the kids, aware of her and her fiancé's relocation to their new house. She noted that he casually joined her fiancé, Allan, for a beer, and she expressed her surprising contentment with the situation, remarking, "I never imagined it happening like this, but it's pretty cool."

She revealed to Us in April that Russell and Caussin have a great rapport even before their engagement.

"I observed them interacting once and it was truly remarkable. It gave me hope that things can change for the better," she noted.
