Jake Paul responded to the reports about Mike Tyson's health scare with a message on social media. On Monday, May 27, Paul, 27, expressed his disbelief at the rumors and clarified that nothing has changed regarding their planned Netflix fight. He criticized those who spread false information for attention and emphasized that the fight between him and Tyson is still on as scheduled.
Paul’s message suggested that he and 57-year-old Tyson are still planning to have their match in July, despite concerns about Tyson’s health.
In Touch magazine reported on Monday that Tyson experienced a medical emergency during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Paramedics were called to the plane after it landed at Los Angeles International Airport.
An eyewitness mentioned that before the paramedics arrived, a message was broadcast on the flight asking for a doctor. This announcement even appeared on everyone's screens.
After the incident, Tyson's team informed us that the boxer is "doing great" after the health scare.

Tyson's representative shared that he felt sick and lightheaded from an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. He expressed gratitude towards the medical staff who assisted him.
Tyson and Paul are scheduled to have a match on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix. They talked about the upcoming event at a press conference earlier this month.
Paul mentioned on May 13 that Mike was eager for a professional fight and wanted to bring the heat. "I admire his courage for challenging me," Paul added.
In response, Tyson first gave a compliment to his opponent before throwing in some playful trash talk.
"He's a great guy," he mentioned. "But once he steps into the ring, he's gotta give it his all, like it's do or die."
The upcoming fight will be overseen by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR), ensuring a fair outcome. Tyson and Paul will battle it out for eight rounds, each lasting two minutes, wearing 14-ounce gloves without any headgear.
Tyson was a professional boxer from 1985 to 2005, while Paul started his boxing career in 2018 after gaining popularity on social media.
Just two years ago, Tyson was in the news for a different reason involving an airplane. In April 2022, there were reports that he got into an altercation with another passenger while on a flight from San Francisco to Florida. A video from TMZ showed Tyson throwing punches at a man who was trying to take selfies with him. The San Francisco Police Department arrived at the scene and detained the passenger involved in the incident.
Weeks later, the San Mateo District Attorney’s Office told the Associated Press they would not be pursuing charges against Tyson because of “the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.”
