Activision has revealed additional information about the highly anticipated Season 1 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. This includes an exciting glimpse at the fresh and innovative core multiplayer maps that will be introduced to the game.
At present, Modern Warfare III boasts a fantastic selection of 16 core multiplayer maps, all of which are revamped renditions of maps from the previous installment, Modern Warfare II, released in 2009. However, with the arrival of Season 1 in early December, loyal fans can look forward to an entirely new range of core multiplayer maps specifically designed for intense 6v6 gameplay modes.
At launch, players will have access to two new maps: Meat and Greece. Meat, a compact map, takes place in a slaughterhouse while Greece is a medium-sized multiplayer area that replicates the atmosphere of a Mediterranean coastal town. Moreover, during the Season 1 Reloaded update, players can look forward to the release of Rio, a map situated in an upscale shopping center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In addition to the new maps, players can also anticipate a fresh game mode called Gunfight. In this mode, teams of two will engage in intense battles on compact maps. As part of Season 1 in Modern Warfare III, a brand-new Gunfight map named Training Facility will be introduced. This map offers a small yet dynamic environment with ample opportunities for climbing and taking cover.

In Season 1, players can expect exciting additions to the Zombies mode, including fresh story content. Introducing the unique weapon, Friend Zone, which has the power to transform both zombies and human enemies into valuable teammates.
Moreover, Season 1 heralds the arrival of a brand-new Warzone map called Urzikstan. Furthermore, Warzone will undergo enhancements inspired by Modern Warfare III, featuring slide-cancelling and tac-stance mechanics.
Modern Warfare 3 was just updated today, November 17, with a series of changes to player movement and a fix for a serious Zombies issue.
