Kravitz tied the knot with Karl Glusman in May 2019, following a three-year romance. However, their marriage hit the rocks and they split less than two years later in December 2020. The divorce was finalized in August 2021, which coincided with sightings of Kravitz and Tatum getting intimate. Interestingly, Kravitz had previously expressed her desire for Tatum to star in her directorial debut, Pussy Island, earlier that summer.
"When I wrote this character, he was the one that came to mind," Zoë shared with Deadline in June 2021. "After seeing his work in Magic Mike and his live performances, I sensed that he was a true feminist. I wanted to collaborate with someone who had a genuine interest in exploring this subject matter."
Upon receiving the call from Zoë, Tatum expressed his surprise, saying, "I was stunned when Zoë approached me about this project. I had seen her in movies, knew she produced High Fidelity, but I had no idea she was interested in directing. The subject matter caught me off guard and I asked myself, 'Why me?'. I typically get typecasted and expected to play certain roles, so it was both scary and liberating to have the freedom to discuss and make mistakes."
A source told Us in August 2021 that “things turned romantic fast” between the pair after “working together so closely.”

Sparks flying on set! Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz are the latest celebrity couple to taking their working relationship to the next level.
The actor had previously been in a romantic relationship with Jenna Dewan, his co-star in the film Step Up, which they filmed together in 2006. The two eventually tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their daughter Everly into the world in 2013. However, five years later, fans were taken aback when the couple announced their separation and finalized their divorce in 2019.
In a statement released to the public, the actors expressed their love for one another and the incredible journey they had shared. Despite the end of their romantic relationship, they emphasized that their love for each other remained unchanged. Rather, they explained that they were simply embarking on different paths in life. The couple stated that there were no underlying issues or scandals that led to their decision to separate, but rather a mutual understanding that it was time to take a step back and focus on their individual happiness. Importantly, they also highlighted their commitment to co-parenting their daughter and remaining a loving family.
Dewan moved on from her marriage with Tatum and started a relationship with Steve Kazee, with whom she welcomed their son Calum in 2020. Meanwhile, Tatum had an on-again, off-again relationship with Jessie J from October 2018 to April 2020. Kravitz tied the knot with Karl Glusman in May 2019, but unfortunately, their marriage ended after less than two years in December 2020. In August 2021, it was confirmed that their divorce was finalized, and coincidentally, the same month she was seen getting cozy with Tatum.
When she made her directorial debut with Pussy Island, X-Men: First Class actress expressed her admiration for Channing Tatum by choosing him as the lead actor. She believed that he was the perfect fit for the character she had written, and was impressed by his feminist beliefs and interest in exploring the subject matter. This was evident from his performances in Magic Mike and his live shows.
“When Zoë approached me about this project, it completely caught me off guard,” recalled Tatum. “I knew of her work as an actress and producer, but I had no idea she was interested in directing. The fact that she wanted me for this role was surprising given the types of roles I’ve been offered in the past. It was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating to have the freedom to discuss the project openly and make mistakes without any pressure.”
According to an insider source, their close collaboration on the project quickly developed into a romantic relationship by August 2021.

In a collaborative interview with Deadline, the two went on to share a light-hearted moment where Kravitz playfully called out Tatum for his fashion choices. The Magic Mike actor added, “I get it, but I totally loved Crocs for a hot second, and in one hang she was like, ‘You can’t ever do that again.’ And I said, ‘OK, fine.'”
