Lenny Kravitz praises daughter Zoe Kravitz's fiancé Channing Tatum, describing him as a wonderful person and expressing their close bond
Lenny Kravitz has expressed his admiration for his daughter Zoë Kravitz’s fiancé, Channing Tatum. The Grammy-winning musician, 59, spoke openly about his close bond with Tatum, 43, and had nothing but praise for the Magic Mike actor.
Lenny expressed his affection, stating, "I have so much love for him. He's truly an amazing person. We have a very close bond and excellent communication." Further, he mentioned, "We spend time together like a family. We make an effort to be together whenever possible."
The guitarist expressed immense pride in his 35-year-old daughter and all of her achievements. He described her as an incredible person and his best friend, and emphasized how blessed he feels to have her as his daughter. Zoë, who is recognized for her roles in The Batman and High Fidelity, is currently collaborating with producer Jack Antonoff on her first solo album after releasing music with her band, Lolawolf.
Lenny, who co-parents Zoë with his ex-wife Lisa Bonet, expressed, "It's truly remarkable. I often think of my mother when I see so much of her in Zoë. It's quite touching. And of course, she also has her mom and me in her as well."
Roxie Roker, Lenny's late mother, was a well-known actress famous for her role as Helen Willis in The Jeffersons sitcom. She passed away in 1995 at the age of 66 after battling breast cancer.
Earlier this month, there was a heartwarming father-daughter moment between Lenny and Zoë at the 2023 Academy Museum Gala. The event, aimed at raising funds for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, saw the duo dressed to the nines in Saint Laurent as they posed on the red carpet.
In August 2021, it was confirmed that Zoë and Tatum were in a relationship after meeting on the set of the actress’ upcoming directorial debut, Pussy Island. A source revealed that their romance blossomed quickly after working closely together.
"They both found each other cool, fun, and attractive, but never pursued a relationship because they were both in committed ones," the source shared. "They share a lot of common interests, being very active and enjoying outdoor sports and activities. Despite working in Hollywood, they both appreciate being off the grid at times."
News of their relationship surfaced shortly after Zoë finalized her divorce from ex-husband Karl Glusman in late 2020, following four years of marriage.

Tatum was previously married to his Step Up costar Jenna Dewan, with whom he has a 10-year-old daughter, Everly.
After two years of dating, Zoë and Tatum got engaged, as confirmed by Us in October. The couple first sparked engagement rumors when they attended Kendall Jenner’s Los Angeles Halloween party, with Zoë wearing a ring on her left hand.
