Taylor Swift sure knows how to throw a 4th of July bash! The pop icon celebrated this special occasion on Tuesday, July 4, in the most stylish way possible, surrounded by her closest friends.
"Sending belated Independence Day greetings from the lovely ladies in your local neighborhood," Swift, 33, shared via Instagram on Friday, July 7. She delighted her followers with snapshots and Polaroids capturing the intimate celebration she had earlier in the week.
In the first image, the Grammy winner, who had just released her re-recorded album "Speak Now," could be seen posing with her friends in her backyard. The group included Selena Gomez, Este Haim, Danielle Haim, and Alana Haim. The smiles and laughter in the photos were infectious. More photos showcased the group's fun antics in Swift's kitchen as they enjoyed wine and patriotic popsicles. One photo even captured a heartwarming hug between the "Dear John" singer and Gomez, 30.
Swift has been celebrating Independence Day at her vacation home in Watch Hill, Rhode Island since 2014. The history of the residence has even inspired one of her singles, "The Last Great American Dynasty." Prior to purchasing the property, she invited her closest friends, including Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, and Cara Delevingne, to join her for the festivities. Many of these parties were documented through social media, sharing their photos with the world. In July 2016, Swift's relationship with Tom Hiddleston was publicly revealed when he was photographed wearing an "I [Heart] T.S." tank while playing in the Atlantic Ocean.

Hiddleston, 42, recalled the incident during a 2017 profile with GQ, stating, "The truth is, it was the 4th of July, a public holiday, and we were playing a game when I slipped and injured my back. I wanted to shield the graze from the sun, so I asked if anyone had a T-shirt. To my surprise, one of Taylor's friends came forward and said, 'I've got this.' We all found it amusing - it was simply a playful moment."
Swift and the actor from "Loki" broke up in September 2016 after three months of dating. She then began dating Joe Alwyn but they ended their six-year relationship in April. Swift briefly had a romantic connection with Matty Healy but that ended last month. Despite her recent romantic endeavors, she has been focused on her sold-out "Eras Tour" which started in Arizona in March. This tour is her first since 2018 and she will be performing in Missouri for two nights starting Friday evening.
“See you tonight Kansas Cityyy,” Swift concluded her Friday Instagram post ahead of her gig at the Arrowhead Stadium.
