Injury Frustration Mounts for Rangers' Striker Kemar Roofe: Latest setback leaves Manager Michael Beale exasperated

Rangers boss Michael Beale left frustrated as Kemar Roofe suffers yet another injury setback The striker's return remains uncertain as he undergoes a scan Rangers face Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday Tune in to Sky Sports for live coverage

Rangers manager Michael Beale is unsure about the timetable for striker Kemar Roofe's return to the field. Roofe, 30, had to leave the game at halftime due to a groin injury during the 4-0 victory against Livingston in the Viaplay Cup at Ibrox on Wednesday evening.

Roofe, who joined the Ibrox side from Anderlecht in 2020, has been plagued by injuries. Prior to the upcoming match against Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, Beale, the team's coach, confirmed that the former Leeds forward would not be available for that game. "He is currently undergoing a scan, so we have no updates at the moment. He did not participate in today's training session with the rest of the team," Beale stated.

We are uncertain about the situation until we receive the scan results. This particular region has never caused any problems before.

Naturally, Kemar is disappointed as he performed excellently until the recent occurrence.

Roofe featured in the first half of Rangers' victorious cup match against Livingston.

"He admitted feeling discomfort during the first half and I would appreciate it if he took responsibility for it. Despite this, he thought he could push through, but at half-time, when I inquired about any problems, he confirmed that there was. As a result, we opted to prioritize his well-being and not take any unnecessary risks."

Hopefully, it is not a grave matter, and he will recover in the near future rather than the distant future.

Unfortunately, tomorrow [Saturday] is not a feasible timeframe currently. It is disheartening because he is an important and exceptionally talented player.

"It is hard because he has not been available as much as he likes for three managers, not just myself.

"It looked like he was in a really good place, he was contributing well."
