Rangers have successfully secured the acceptance of a new offer, valued at approximately £6m, for Feyenoord striker Danilo. The 24-year-old footballer, renowned for netting 12 goals in the previous season, has been the target of multiple bids from Rangers. With the initial payment standing at £5.2m, additional bonuses are also part of the potential agreement. This development brings Rangers closer to securing their eighth signing for this summer.
There are no anticipated problems with personal terms as the Brazilian player appears to be enthusiastic about joining Ibrox. Additionally, Rangers are making progress in their pursuit of Los Angeles midfielder Jose Cifuentes, who has been a target for some time.
Manager Michael Beale disclosed in an interview with We News on Friday that the club had successfully obtained a pre-contract agreement, as his current agreement will expire in December. Speaking about the potential signing of the Ecuadorian international, he mentioned the impending deal's logistical requirements, such as work permits and other necessary procedures.
"The clubs are still talking. He's out of contract at the end of the year and we have an agreement for that.
"We would like to bring it to a close early so he can join us in this window.
"Those discussions are ongoing."
Kieran Dowell, Cyriel Dessers, Jack Butland, Sam Lammers, Leon Balogun, Dujon Sterling and Abdallah Sima have already joined Rangers during this transfer window.
