Embarking on the journey of Palworld, one of the first tasks at hand is to establish your base. Building a base serves as the foundation for all your activities, from crafting items to managing resources. As time progresses, the need for additional space and productivity becomes evident. This guide will walk you through the process of unlocking a Second Base in Palworld, providing you with the means to expand and enhance your gaming experience.
Palworld: Palbox level 10
To unlock a Second Base in Palworld, you must first focus on upgrading your Palbox to a specific level. The Palbox functions as a town hall and is pivotal to enhancing your base. Upgrading the Palbox grants access to more work cells for your Pals, thus enabling the construction of a new base in the future. This undertaking requires dedication and perseverance, as it involves completing a series of objectives listed in the Base Upgrade menu. These objectives typically involve constructing various structures and buildings within the boundaries of your base.
It's important to note that these structures must be placed within your base's territory, which is demarcated by distinct blue borders. As you progress, reaching Palbox level 10 becomes achievable after leveling up your character to level 17. This milestone unlocks the Cooking Pot, a crucial structure that propels you from Palbox level 9 to 10, marking significant progress towards unlocking a Second Base in Palworld.
Strategic Placement of the Second Base
Once the Second Base is unlocked, the next step is to strategically position it within the game world. Consider teleportation totems and resource availability when selecting a location for your Second Base. It's advisable to place the base in an area with minimal or no other teleportation totems nearby. Additionally, prioritize locations abundant in essential resources or challenging to access, as these provide strategic advantages for base expansion and resource management.

In our experience, we chose to position our Second Base in an area abundant with Ore veins, addressing our scarcity of this vital resource. After extensive exploration, we identified a location housing five adjacent veins of Ore, making it an ideal site for our Second Palbox. Here, we optimized the environment for our Pals to autonomously mine Ore and deposit it into storage. When deciding on the location for your Second Base, tailor it to your specific objectives and aspirations within the game world.
