After saying goodbye to Selling Sunset, Heather Rae El Moussa (formerly known as Young) shared that transitioning to her new chapter has been a bit challenging for her.

At 36 years old, the reality star left the Netflix show in November 2023 after being part of it for seven seasons. This departure prompted her to open up about her feelings on social media.

Heather shared a motivational quote on her Instagram Story on March 19, encouraging her followers to "be kind to yourself and focus on one day at a time."

In her post, she explained that the quote really spoke to her current situation as she works on expanding her business, organizing tasks, and bringing her projects to life.

Heather launched her own investment firm, HEM Capital, with her husband Tarek El Moussa's support last year. They are now busy filming season 2 of their HGTV reality show, The Flipping El Moussas. She shared, "Some days I feel really motivated, but other days it feels like everything is falling apart."

In a video shared on her Instagram Story on Thursday, March 21, she offered a glimpse behind the scenes of production. She excitedly revealed that her stepson Brayden, who is 8 years old, will be making an appearance in the upcoming second season of the show.

“Bray has been with us since Day 1 on this flip,” Heather captioned a video of her, Tarek, 42, and Brayden filming, “and it’s so cool showing him the progress.”

In another video, Brayden shared his remodeling ideas with his parents. Heather captioned the video with, "Boss Bray showing us how we should really be designing his flip."

Heather is also a stepmother to Taylor, who is 13 years old. Taylor is Tarek's child from his previous marriage to Christina Hall.

Heather and Tarek had their first child, Tristan, in January 2023.

Heather was a regular on the first six seasons of Selling Sunset, but only made a brief appearance in season 7, which was released on Netflix in November 2023.

Heather announced on Instagram that she would not be returning to the show when the new episodes aired. She expressed that everything happens for a reason and that she believes in destiny. Despite feeling bittersweet about leaving "SS," she reflected on the valuable experiences she had during her time on the show.
