Harry Kane described his transfer from Tottenham to Bayern Munich as "a rollercoaster journey," outlining his strategy to adjust to his fresh surroundings in Germany. The esteemed English captain finalized his £100m transfer and marked his initial appearance on Saturday, ultimately entering the field as a substitute during his team's unfortunate 3-0 loss to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.

At the press conference on Sunday, Kane acknowledged the past few days and week as being incredibly hectic. Expressing his involvement in his first-ever transfer, it was an emotionally turbulent journey. Nonetheless, he expressed contentment to be present in the current situation.

While extending well wishes to Tottenham and Daniel Levy, Kane emphasized that his focus has now shifted to his new team. With the successful completion of the transfer, he eagerly anticipates embarking on this new chapter.

"I have always articulated my goal in my professional journey: to constantly enhance my skills, consistently challenge my capacity, and explore the extent to which I can excel.

"In essence, my ultimate aspiration is to compete at the utmost pinnacle, to participate in the prestigious Champions League, and to contend for championship titles every year.

Joining Bayern Munich, one of the most prestigious clubs globally, provides me with the opportunity I have been seeking. Therefore, I eagerly anticipate the challenge and look forward to it. This move comes prior to the upcoming men's European Championships in Germany, which will be hosted in Kane's new abode.

When questioned about whether he had spoken to manager Gareth Southgate after his transfer, Kane responded, "Gareth texted me yesterday to congratulate me and mentioned that he would reach out next week when things settle down a bit. He'll be thrilled knowing that his striker for England is performing at the highest level, and this can only benefit the national team."

After finalizing his transfer to Bayern, Kane took the opportunity to record a farewell video dedicated to the Tottenham supporters. Expressing the emotional struggle of bidding farewell to his beloved childhood club, he promised to make a proper return to bid adieu to his teammates. In his own words, "I didn't have the opportunity to bid farewell in the right manner. Although I sent a text to inform the players of my departure, I intend to personally convey my goodbyes when the time is right."

The decision ahead was always going to be challenging. I had spent 19 years of my life at Tottenham, a club that holds a strong connection to me. However, being a professional, I have constantly pushed myself to my limits and I knew that the timing was appropriate.

There will undoubtedly be discussions surrounding the record set by Alan Shearer. But I am confident that there is still a significant amount of football left in my career. For now, my focus lies on elevating this club to new heights.

Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, who played a role in the transfer negotiations, expressed his gratitude to Daniel Levy for Kane's transfer by acknowledging that he owes him a dinner.

"Daniels and my bond has certainly grown stronger over the past few weeks," he remarked.

The negotiations were challenging as Daniel's friendly demeanor was combined with a strong determination to achieve his goals. As a result, the collaboration between two well-focused individuals led to a slightly longer process.

Nevertheless, we both feel quite satisfied with the outcome, and as a gesture of goodwill, I will cover the cost of dinner.

Kane: Winning Bundesliga will be a challenge

Kane has always been in England for his club football. He has dedicated his entire senior career to Tottenham in the Premier League, although he did have short stints on loan at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich, and Leicester.

Now he is confronted with the possibility of adjusting to a different league in the Bundesliga, along with embracing a fresh culture in Germany.

"I have dedicated my entire career and life to England and the Premier League, so transitioning to a new league and facing unfamiliar teams may require some adjustment," he expressed.

"As demonstrated by Leipzig, this league boasts exceptional teams, presenting a genuine challenge. While it is often assumed that Bayern Munich will effortlessly dominate the league annually, the competing teams are continuously enhancing their abilities. The competition is becoming increasingly demanding."

I aim to settle in comfortably, comprehend the various team dynamics, and adapt accordingly. This has been my approach throughout my entire career, both with Tottenham and the national team, and I will continue it here.

Thus far, I have only learned one word - "Servus" meaning hello. I plan to take German lessons at least once or twice a week. It is crucial for me to integrate as much as possible, and acquiring the language is of utmost significance.

"I am eager to fully immerse myself in the culture and customs of the country. Therefore, I will be enrolling in lessons to enhance my grasp of the language.

"Fortunately, there is a significant number of English-speaking players and staff within the club, which aids my learning process. Nonetheless, I am determined to integrate seamlessly by gaining a comprehensive understanding of the language."

How Kane's Friday unfolded

Tottenham's all-time leading goal scorer received notification around 3pm on Friday that his move to Bayern had been finalized, granting him the opportunity to journey to Munich for his medical examination.

Kane's flight departed from the UK at 4.50pm and arrived at Oberpfaffenhofen airport just outside Munich at 6.10pm, following UK time.

The agreement between Tottenham and Bayern regarding Kane will include a starting fee of £86m, with additional payments increasing the total price to nearly £100m. This fee sets a new record for Bayern and the Bundesliga.

Upon being informed about the clubs reaching an agreement on Thursday, Kane opted to accept Bayern's offer. Subsequently, he underwent a medical examination and signed his contract with Bayern at approximately 1am UK time on Saturday morning.

Bayern's struggles on Kane's debut highlight pressure he will face

Harry Kane's Shocking Revelation: The Untold Story of His Roller Coaster Journey from Tottenham to Bayern Munich

Harry Kane left Tottenham after 4369 trophy-less days since his debut. It was anticipated that he would end this drought on his first day at Bayern Munich. However, to his dismay, schadenfreude greeted him instead. RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo's hat-trick left the hopeful Bayern supporters in shock at the Allianz Arena, resulting in Leipzig winning the Supercup. Kane was unable to change the course of the game as they were already two goals behind when he entered the field, and the score became three-nil before he even touched the ball.

Bayern's attempt to make Kane feel at home did not align with his expectations. He tirelessly chased after opportunities, but with minimal success. Thomas Tuchel went so far as to apologize to Kane for his teammates' inability to connect passes to him.

Naturally, Kane is no stranger to shouldering the burden of a club's expectations. However, at Spurs, he was cherished as a beloved member of the team long before those expectations were placed on him. Now, at 30 years old, there is a significant incentive of a hundred million reasons for him to excel here.

Bayern Munich executive board member Andreas Jung exclusively told We:

"I believe this is a reflection of the financial advancements in football. This is the first instance where we have paid such a considerable amount for a player, and we recognize that for teams with investors, acquiring a player for €100m may not be a significant concern. However, for us, this is an extraordinary circumstance."

On the contrary, it demonstrates our competitive edge against other teams. Our team will always have the opportunity to win every competition we participate in, and this is why I believe signing someone like Harry Kane is advantageous. With players like him and the rest of the team, we will definitely receive a boost. Consequently, everyone is eagerly anticipating the moment when he is granted permission to play.

"I think he is a top player. He scored the most goals at the 2018 World Cup and is every year a top scorer in England so there is no discussion about him as a football player."

We' Jamie Redknapp on the Essential Football Podcast:

I empathize with Ange Postecoglou as he is tasked with preparing his team for the upcoming season. Unfortunately, just hours before the start of the season, his star player is set to depart. This situation could have been resolved a few months or even a month ago, allowing Postecoglou the best opportunity to succeed.

It seems that whoever is making these decisions, namely Daniel Levy, is not prioritizing the team's best interests. When a new manager comes on board, it is crucial to provide them with all the necessary resources to have a strong chance of regaining a top-four position.

While you may have gained some extra money from the agreement, it doesn't automatically mean it is beneficial for the team. The departure of their hero right before the season commences is a devastating blow for Spurs fans. Harry Kane holds an irreplaceable position within the team.
