Levy: Kane forever in our history

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy revealed that they had made numerous attempts to negotiate new contract terms with Harry and his representatives, spanning both short and long-term options. However, Harry expressed his desire for a new challenge and made it clear that he would not be signing a new contract this summer. Reluctantly, Tottenham has agreed to his transfer. Spurs endured a lackluster season, culminating in an eighth-place finish in the Premier League, leaving them without European football. Despite the team's struggles, Kane managed to shine by scoring an impressive 30 goals. However, it is worth noting that the club's trophy drought has prolonged since 2008.

Kane has tallied up an impressive 280 goals in 435 games during his time at Spurs, with his first goal being scored in December 2011.

Currently, he stands at 213 goals in 320 Premier League matches, which leaves him only 48 goals away from surpassing Alan Shearer's record as the all-time leading scorer in the Premier League.

Jamie Redknapp expressed sympathy for Ange Postecoglou as he faces the challenge of preparing his team for the upcoming season with his star player set to depart. The timing of this situation could have been better, ideally being resolved a few months or even a month ago to give Postecoglou the greatest chance of success.

It seems like Daniel Levy, the person making these decisions, is not considering what is best for the team. When a new manager comes in, it is important to provide them with everything they need to have a strong chance of regaining a spot in the top four.

While it may be true that the deal could bring in more money, that doesn't necessarily mean it is the best decision for the team.

We News reporter Paul Gilmour: It's devastating news for the Spurs fans, who will undoubtedly feel a profound sense of sorrow as their beloved hero prepares to depart just one day before the season commences. The departure of Harry Kane is a gargantuan blow for the team, as his immense talent and contributions are truly irreplaceable.

In Munich, Bayern, there is great excitement as they have recently signed the England captain, who is recognized as one of the top goalscorers in world football. Some fans we spoke to compare him to Robert Lewandowski and believe he can have a similar impact. Harry Kane had a long day yesterday, starting with waiting at the airport in the early morning. Eventually, he traveled and arrived in the evening. Upon arrival, he immediately went to a local hospital for the first part of his medical examination. Later, he proceeded to the Bayern training ground where we caught up with him and saw him waving at around 12.45am this morning.

That indicated progress as the medical examination had been completed. Shortly thereafter, he formalized his status as a Bayern Munich player by signing the contract. This morning, he engaged in media commitments, including a video announcement by the German champions.

It is likely that we will witness Kane's debut for Bayern Munich tonight. On his first day in his new position, he has the opportunity to win a trophy. He finalized the contract around 2am, and less than 24 hours later, he could already be making his debut. The negotiations have been mentally and physically exhausting for all parties involved, but Kane has made an effort to stay active and attentive.

"He has been training with Tottenham as usual and maintains excellent physical fitness. He has a strong professional attitude, making it effortless to involve him in the game, and he will be assigned the No 9 jersey.

According to reports, he stands to earn approximately £11m per year after taxes, which will be distributed among his basic salary, payment for games played, and various bonuses throughout the duration of his four-year contract."

Redknapp: Spurs should have done Kane deal earlier to give Ange time to adapt

Florian Plettenberg from Sky Germany expresses the indescribable nature of this transfer. This is no ordinary transfer; it entails securing the services of Harry Kane, the sensational Premier League superstar and captain of the Three Lions. For Bayern Munich, Germany, and the Bundesliga, this would be an extraordinary statement of intent.

"The mission for Kane is to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel, not the Bundesliga. The ambition is to win the treble and Kane is a treble transfer."

'Bayern fans comparing Kane to Lewandowski - no concerns about throwing him straight in'

Kane is bringing his Spurs career to an end

Bayern Munich executive board member Andreas Jung speaking exclusively to We:

In my opinion, this represents the financial progress of football. It is the first time that we are paying such a high fee for a player, which sets us apart from other teams that have investors and find it easier to afford such deals. This situation holds a certain significance for us.

Moreover, it demonstrates that we are on par with our competitors. With this signing, our team will have the chance to vie for victory in every competition we participate in. Therefore, I consider it to be a valuable addition. Harry Kane's presence, along with our other players, will undoubtedly assist us in achieving our goals.

"So, there is much anticipation about when he will be given the opportunity to play.

"In my opinion, he is a remarkable player. He performed exceptionally well in the 2018 World Cup, scoring the highest number of goals. Additionally, he consistently emerges as one of the top scorers in England every year, leaving no doubts about his abilities as a football player."

'Kane is moving to Bayern to win the treble'

Paul Merson said, "Although he's 30 years old, I don't consider his age to be a factor. The way he performs suggests that he can easily continue playing until he reaches 35 or 36. His style of play doesn't depend on speed, and he possesses exceptional decision-making abilities."

I'm still in disbelief as to why Manchester United didn't acquire him. Had they done so, they could have benefitted from his talent for a substantial period of four to five years, resulting in winning the Premier League.

Would this Tottenham team be able to secure a spot in the top four next season? I highly doubt it. Hence, by selling him, it doesn't guarantee a place in the top four. Therefore, any potential loss incurred from his departure can be offset by participating in the Champions League. However, in this scenario, that outcome is unlikely.

Last season, Kane scored an impressive 30 goals, but unfortunately, Spurs did not perform well. It's hard not to sympathize with Ange Postecoglou, considering that if he remains as the coach, there is a chance they might secure a spot in the top four. However, if he decides to leave, the team's performance could potentially plummet, and they may not even reach the top half of the table. It is evident that they would become a bottom-half team without him.

The question arises, who will step up and take on the goal-scoring responsibilities? Considering their eighth-place finish last season, it is a valid concern. While I have a favorable opinion of James Maddison's abilities as a player, it is worth noting that even talented players like him couldn't prevent Leicester from being relegated.
