Germany has dismissed manager Hansi Flick, just nine months prior to the commencement of their upcoming home European Championships. The former Bayern Munich boss witnessed his team endure a humiliating 4-1 defeat against Japan, in a match hosted on their home ground, on Saturday.
Germany has suffered four defeats in their most recent five matches, adding to their early elimination from the group stage in the previous World Cup.
Expressing his views, Bernd Neuendorf, the president of the German Football Association, emphasized the necessity for fresh energy in the men's senior national team following the recent unsatisfactory outcomes. He emphasized the need for fostering a sense of positivity and belief within our nation.
For me, personally, this has been one of the toughest decisions I have had to make during my tenure in office. I hold both Hansi Flick and his assistant coaches in high regard as football experts and individuals. However, the focus for the DFB remains on achieving sporting success. Thus, this decision was an unavoidable necessity.

Flick's assistant coaches, Marcus Sorg and Danny Rohl, have been promptly dismissed from their positions.
For Tuesday's friendly match against France in Dortmund, Rudi Voller, who previously managed Germany from 2000 to 2004, along with Hannes Wolf and Sandro Wagner, will be assuming control.
The DFB stated that their objective is to promptly appoint a successor for Hansi Flick. Since taking over from Joachim Low in August 2021, whom he served as an assistant from 2006 to 2014, Flick only managed to secure 12 victories out of 25 matches.
