Germany has dismissed manager Hansi Flick, just nine months ahead of their upcoming home European Championships next summer, following an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Japan at home on Saturday.
Germany has suffered four defeats in their previous five matches, further adding to their elimination from the group stage in last year's World Cup.
According to Bernd Neuendorf, the president of the German Football Association, the national team necessitates fresh motivation following the unsatisfactory outcomes. A sense of hope and self-assurance within our nation is essential.
Personally, this has been one of the toughest decisions I have had to make during my tenure. I hold immense respect for Hansi Flick and his assistant coaches, both as football experts and individuals. However, the primary focus for the DFB is achieving sporting success, leaving us with no choice but to make this decision.

Flick's assistant coaches, Marcus Sorg and Danny Rohl, have been removed from their positions with immediate effect.
Rudi Voller, Hannes Wolf, and Sandro Wagner will be in charge of Tuesday's friendly match against France in Dortmund.
"The aim is to arrange Hansi Flick's successor as quickly as possible," the DFB added.
