Guerdy Abraira, star of The Real Housewives of Miami, is an expert at planning parties. She is sharing her tips with Us to help us step up our Easter celebrations.
At 46 years old, Abraira owns her own event company called Guerdy Design. She collaborated with Gilded Group Décor to decorate for Easter this year. She shared with us that she chose an "unexpected elegance" theme for the holiday. Abraira suggests using green and white florals in chinoiserie vases to create a timeless and beautiful look.
In the latest issue of We ahead of the Sunday, March 31 holiday, Abraira mentions that against a backdrop of crisp patterned linens, the foliage and blooms give off a feeling of freshness and renewal, perfectly capturing the essence of the season.
Easter is a holiday for the family, and Abraira recommends keeping certain elements simple enough for young children to participate. Instead of using a traditional egg-dyeing kit, she suggests using acrylic paint and small, spring-themed stamps.
Abraira suggests using tiny flower stamps to match the chinoiserie-themed tabletop look. You can also customize your own color palette, but stick to less than three colors that complement each other. Simply spread a thin layer of paint on a clean surface with a brush, press the stamp on it for even color application, and start stamping away!
