Guerdy Abraira from The Real Housewives of Miami isn't concerned about not having the approval of Larsa Pippen's boyfriend. She mentioned that she received approval from his father, Michael Jordan, in the past. "Years ago, when I did an event, I saw him and he told me I did a great job," Guerdy, 46, shared exclusively with We on Thursday, February 29, as she talked about season 6 of RHOM and the cast's "fiery" reunion.
At an event she hosted, Guerdy recalled the moment when Michael Jordan approached her and asked, "Are you Guerdy?" She replied with a simple "Yes" and he praised her by saying, "Good job, Guerdy. Good job." This encounter left her feeling accomplished, knowing that she impressed the basketball legend.
During the season 6 reunion of RHOM, Michael's eldest son, Marcus Jordan, criticized Guerdy and the other ladies. In the reunion episode aired on February 28, host Andy Cohen spoke to Marcus in Larsa's dressing room. Marcus, who has been a part of RHOM due to his relationship with Larsa, addressed the ladies' persistent inquiries about his father, Michael Jordan. Marcus, 33, has been involved with the show despite his father, 61, not approving of his relationship with Larsa.
Marcus joked that these women couldn't even handle doing the dishes in our house, let alone participate in this conversation. He added that some people should just stick to what they know.
In reply, Julia Lemigova, his costar, referred to Marcus as a "nepo baby" during an interview with Page Six.
"Well, I guess everyone has their own perspective. I'm not sure what that comment was all about," Guerdy shared with Us. "It's interesting that the topic of conversation ended up being about dishes in either your dad's house or your own. But hey, I support Julia on this one."

Guerdy was surprised to see Marcus at the reunion since he will be joining the group in part two or three. She jokingly mentioned, "I didn't realize we had a 10th housewife on the show, but I guess there was a 10th camera in the background too." She added, "I don't know, my friend, he was quite involved! He sure did chime in a lot."
In September 2022, it was revealed that Larsa, 49, was dating Marcus. They decided to keep their relationship quiet due to her ex-husband Scottie Pippen's ongoing feud with Michael, his former Chicago Bulls teammate. After being together for over a year, Larsa and Marcus broke up in February, only to reconcile a few days later.
During a recent reunion, Guerdy shared that Larsa mentioned she avoids the media and has no connections to it. However, Guerdy found it interesting that Larsa brought up TMZ when discussing a personal matter. This led Guerdy to speculate about the possibility of Larsa leaking information to the media. While Guerdy acknowledged that the breakup may have been genuine, the truth may never be fully known.
Guerdy shared with Larsa on RHOM that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. Unfortunately, Larsa ended up telling the rest of the cast about it. Despite this breach of trust, Guerdy is now in remission and feeling great after a recent hysterectomy.

"It feels surreal because this is actually my life, and it ended up being portrayed as a storyline on the show, but in reality, this is my true journey," she mentioned while discussing her battle with cancer. "I had to guard it with all my strength to the best of my ability."

The article highlights the complex dynamics between the cast of "The Real Housewives of Miami" and their connections to the Jordan family. Guerdy Abraira's encounter with Michael Jordan years ago has given her confidence in her work, despite recent criticism from his son, Marcus Jordan. The reunion episode's discussion of nepotism and the involvement of Marcus in the cast's affairs adds an element of tension to the relationships. Guerdy's reaction to Marcus's comments and her own struggles with breast cancer demonstrate the multifaceted nature of the show and its impact on the personal lives of its stars.
The article also raises questions about the role of media in the lives of celebrities. Guerdy's suspicions about Larsa Pippen's involvement with TMZ suggest a potential breach of trust between the cast members. The interplay between reality television and the private lives of these women underscores the complex relationship between the public and the individuals they follow.
