Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's Son Wyatt Russell Reveals Wife Meredith Hagner's Exciting Pregnancy News for Their Second Baby
Wyatt Russell and Meredith Hagner, who tied the knot in September 2019, joyfully anticipate the arrival of their second bundle of joy
Meredith Hagner and her husband Wyatt Russell are expecting their second child. Russell playfully shared with E! News on Thursday, November 16th that their son Buddy is aware of the baby growing in Hagner's belly, but will be in awe when the baby is finally born.
The actor from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier mentioned that their 2-year-old named Buddy is ready to become a big brother. Russell and Hagner, who met on the set of the film Folk Hero & Funny Guy in 2016, got engaged two years later. They tied the knot in September 2019 at the Aspen home of Russell's parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.
One year later, Wyatt and Hagner shared the news of their first baby on Instagram, courtesy of Wyatt's sister Kate Hudson.
In November 2020, Kate, who is Hawn's daughter from her previous marriage with Bill Hudson, expressed her excitement on Instagram: "Today, we celebrate the arrival of our newest family member. It's a first for my brother Wy and @merediththeweasel. We are incredibly thrilled and eagerly anticipating this joyful addition!"
Days later, Hagner confirmed her pregnancy by sharing snapshots from her tropical baby shower. She humorously exclaimed on Instagram, "The cat (baby) is out of the bag! But still very much in the bag (placenta). What an incredible journey to be carrying this precious life. My soulmate/husband and I are overjoyed. A big thank you to my closest friends and family in California for making this Covid-tested day magical."
In March 2021, Hagner gave birth to her and Wyatt's first child, a son named Buddy. Buddy is the seventh grandchild for Hawn, 77, and Kurt, 72. Kate has three children: Ryder, whom she shares with Chris Robinson, Bingham, whom she shares with Matt Bellamy, and Rani Rose, whom she shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa. Oliver Hudson, Wyatt, and Kate's older brother, has children named Wilder, Bodhi, and Rio with his wife, Erinn Bartlett. Wyatt and Hagner's new addition will be Hawn and Kurt's eighth grandchild.
Shortly after Buddy was born, Wyatt enthusiastically shared with Entertainment Tonight his experience of witnessing Hawn and Kurt as adoring grandparents.
"In March 2021," Wyatt disclosed, "starting from the birth of my brother's or sister's first child, they are lovingly referred to as Gogo and Gogi. My father's self-made wine goes by the name Gogi, as it was his nickname, while my mother's endearing nickname was Gogo. So, that's what the kids call them."
