Gigi Hadid recently demonstrated that colors are not limited to the spring and summer seasons. On October 17, the 28-year-old model was captured outside her New York City apartment donning a vibrant yellow boiler suit matched with a yellow and navy beanie and iconic brown Ugg boots. The boiler suit boasted a drawstring waist, tortoise shell buttons, and four front pockets. To complete the ensemble, she accessorized with stylish dark cat-eye sunglasses and a black and white purse.
Keeping her look effortless, Hadid opted for minimal makeup and left her long bleach blonde hair flowing in loose waves.
Renowned for her affinity towards boiler suits, Hadid consistently demonstrates their versatility as the ideal wardrobe staple for transitioning between seasons. These one-piece garments provide a combination of lightweight comfort and ample coverage, easily adaptable to different occasions and styles depending on the fabric and accompanying accessories.
Hadid's dedication to the boiler suit trend is evident throughout the years, from her iconic NASA branded Alpha Industries boiler suit in 2017 to the fashionable pink Brandon Maxwell boiler suit she wore at the New York Fashion Week show in 2018. She even sported a bold white leather boiler suit with multi-colored gloves during Paris Fashion Week in 2019.
Indeed, Hadid has established herself as a prominent figure in the fashion industry. Starting her career as a model at the young age of two, she later decided to explore her creativity further after becoming a mother to her daughter Khai in 2020.
Gotham/GC ImagesIn an interview with W Magazine published on September 6, Hadid discussed her desire for a more stable work schedule that did not require constant travel. She expressed the need for a workplace where she could go every day, which she had never experienced before. The goal was to have a schedule that could accommodate having a child and allow her to structure her work life accordingly. This is how her luxury cashmere label, Guest in Residence, came to fruition.
Launched in September 2022, the brand offers a vibrant selection of cashmere essentials, including her iconic boiler suit.
Despite her extensive involvement in the fashion industry for over a decade, Hadid confessed in an October 2022 Vogue interview that she sometimes feels uneasy in her role as the founder and Creative Director. "Imposter syndrome is a constant struggle for me," she admitted.
