Rufus Kampa has been cast as a younger version of Prince William in the upcoming sixth and final season of The Crown. The final season, consisting of ten episodes, will be aired in two parts. The Crown, which premiered on Netflix in 2016, is centered around the British royal family and has seen a changing ensemble of actors throughout its duration.
The first four episodes will be available for streaming on Thursday, November 16th, while the remaining six episodes will follow on Thursday, December 14th. The upcoming season will center around the events of Princess Diana's death in 1997 and its aftermath. Similar to season 5, Elizabeth Debicki will portray Diana, while Dominic West will take on the role of King Charles III. The show's producers have assured that they will handle Diana's death with sensitivity.
Executive producer Suzanne Mackie expressed her confidence in the carefully and thoughtfully recreated conversation, hoping that the audience would judge it ultimately. In the later episodes of the season, the younger generation, such as William and Princess Kate Middleton, will take center stage, with Meg Bellamy playing the role of Kate. Ed McVey will portray William from his teenage years into adulthood, while Kampa will portray him at the age of 15.
