At the Xbox Games Showcase, Atlus announced the highly anticipated Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica. The former is a remake of the third mainline game in the series, while the latter is a strategy RPG featuring the Phantom Thieves. Fans had been eagerly waiting for news about the Persona series, and rumors had been circulating throughout the year, especially during the 25th anniversary celebrations. The anticipation reached a fever pitch during the Summer Game Fest weekend, when URLs for "P5T" and "P3RE" hinted at an upcoming reveal. A few days before the showcase, Atlus accidentally leaked two trailers on its Instagram account, confirming the rumors. Despite the games being the worst kept secrets, fans were thrilled to see both Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica officially unveiled at the event.

The trailer for Persona 3 Reload opens with a memorable shot of Aigis gazing out at the ocean before turning to face the SEES group, which includes Makoto Yuki, the protagonist. The trailer showcases the player engaging in various daily activities at Gekkoukan High School and exploring the Tartarus dungeon. The menu UI has received a significant overhaul with the main menu being a standout feature that sees Makoto Yuki diving into water to bring up the options. Additionally, the trailer features a new song titled "The Meaning of Armbands" sung by series resident rapper Lotus Juice.

On the other hand, Persona 5 Tactica is a new spin-off game that features the beloved Phantom Thieves in a tactics-based strategy game, similar to Fire Emblem or Triangle Strategy. The game introduces a new character and faction called the Rebel Corps, who the thieves have previously aided in some capacity. The gameplay shown in the trailer includes elements from the original game, such as skills, and new features like "Triple Threat," which can execute an All-Out attack-style maneuver.

There are rumors circulating that Persona 5 Tactica will be released in November exclusively on Xbox, while Persona 3 Reload's trailer suggests a release window of Early 2024. However, leaked information suggests that physical versions of both games may also be available for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
