Bayern Munich intends to present an improved proposal of €110m (£94.6m), comprising additional incentives, for Harry Kane either on Tuesday or Wednesday. Despite the rejection of their previous offer, which exceeded €100m (£86m) and included add-ons, the German champions remain determined to secure the services of the 30-year-old.
Bayern is well aware that Kane desires a resolution regarding his future this week, just prior to Tottenham's inaugural match of the season against Brentford on Sunday.
Sky Germany asserts that securing Kane continues to be the utmost priority for Bayern's leadership.
Currently, there is no sign of an agreement between the clubs, and as it stands, it seems increasingly plausible that Kane will remain at Spurs. Kane is relishing his time under Ange Postecoglou, the new head coach at Tottenham.
Several players, including him, featured in Sunday's match against Shakhtar Donetsk but did not travel to Barcelona for their last friendly on Tuesday evening. With Kane's contract expiring next summer, keeping him beyond the current transfer window poses a risk for Spurs as they could potentially lose a top-notch goalscorer to a Premier League competitor for free.
In a disappointing season for Spurs, Kane managed to score 30 goals in the Premier League. Despite his impressive record, the team finished eighth and failed to qualify for European football. Moreover, Spurs have not won a trophy since 2008. Throughout his time at the club, Kane has scored a remarkable 280 goals in 435 appearances. He scored his first goal for Spurs in December 2011. In the Premier League, he has netted 213 goals in 320 games, and he is just 48 goals away from breaking Alan Shearer's record as the highest scorer in Premier League history.
Postecoglou unfazed by 'tough' new beginnings
Spurs manager Postecoglou sat down to speak with We' Peter Smith on Monday, where Kane's future was put to the Australian...
The Harry Kane situation has been a significant distraction. Despite the fact that he scored four goals on Sunday, it is challenging to build a cohesive unit and play with complex tactical systems when there is uncertainty about whether he will be available in a few weeks. This experience is not unique to this club; it has been the same at every other club I have been at. For example, at Celtic, we lost three out of the first six games because we were still signing players until the last day of the transfer window. We didn't even have a solid team foundation, let alone dealing with the absence of a key player. The same scenario occurred in Japan.
The beginnings are often like this, which seems normal to me. When starting a new job, especially when there is a desire for change, the initial stages can be challenging. In this particular situation, Harry is clearly the main catalyst for change.
However, it is crucial to adapt and handle these challenges. I have developed a strong sense of discipline to ensure that I don't solely fixate on one aspect. I avoid getting sidetracked by what I may perceive as the most significant issue.

Building a strong team is currently our top priority. It's not just about a few individuals. If we were in the second or third year of the project, with a team already performing as I envisioned and a solid foundation in place, then I would devote more time and energy to addressing Harry's situation, which could be a bit more distracting.
However, at present, while Harry's role is significant within the group, my focus is more on how I can enhance the group as a whole.
I was planning on inquiring about your definition of success for this season, but I suppose one aspect would be successfully implementing your style and having the team play according to your preferences. However, does Harry's situation influence whether you have a specific points total or position in mind?
No, I don't view it in that manner. I have never set a goal or target in my life because if I had, I probably wouldn't have accomplished the unexpected success that I have achieved, even surprising myself.
By not setting specific targets and goals, it becomes easier to achieve the desired outcome. I am not interested in complacency. The focus should be on becoming the best version of ourselves as a team. From my experience, success may not come immediately, but it often materializes in the second year.
However, our supporters provide a reliable indication of our progress. Their perception and satisfaction will determine the success of our season. Whether this translates into actual points, trophies, or other tangible measures remains uncertain.
According to News chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol, our primary objective should be to reach the season's conclusion while ensuring that the most vital individuals in the football club, the fans, perceive that their team has made significant advancements and provided them with hope for the future. It's intriguing how Tottenham appears to be defying Bayern's influence.
Numerous reports from Germany emerged on Friday, stating that Bayern Munich demanded a response before midnight, or else they would withdraw.
Solhekol: Spurs won't dance to Bayern's tune
Spurs have been patient, refusing to adhere to any arbitrary deadlines set by Bayern Munich. They have made it clear that they have rejected the offer and will not be rushing into any decisions.Who will be on the move this summer when the transfer window opens on June 14 and closes at 11pm on September 1 in England and midnight in Scotland?
