Additionally, the annual Halloween event has returned, featuring new cosmetics and the reemergence of Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride.

Aside from new content, Overwatch 2 Season 7: Rise of Darkness brought various adjustments and improvements, such as hero balancing for characters like Cassidy, who can now survive a D.Va Bomb ultimate by perfectly timing their roll ability. The hacker hero Sombra also underwent a complete rework, with her stealth ability now becoming a passive trait and the introduction of a new damaging projectile called Virus.
