Microsoft has once again expanded its collection of games for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, this time by including the previously exclusive PlayStation puzzler Maquette. Subscribers can always look forward to new game additions, and Maquette is the latest game to be introduced to the service this week.

It has been an eventful week for Xbox Game Pass, as Microsoft not only revealed plans to replace Xbox Live Gold with Xbox Game Pass Core but also added three more games to the service. On July 18, the Xbox Game Pass library was updated to include the early access game Techtonica, the photography game Toem, and the adventure game The Cave. While subscribers may still be exploring those titles, they now have another game to enjoy with their subscription.

Maquette made its debut in 2021 for PC, PS4, and PS5, initially as an exclusive game for PlayStation consoles. Notably, it was also released as a day one PS Plus game, a trend that was more common during the first year following the launch of PlayStation 5. Now, Maquette is set to make its arrival on Xbox Game Pass, coinciding with its release on Xbox consoles. So, on the same day it becomes available on Xbox, it will also be added to the Game Pass service.

Despite mixed reviews upon its release, Maquette's former exclusivity to PlayStation consoles and its availability as a day one PS Plus title make it a significant addition to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass. Alongside the numerous new additions to Xbox Game Pass in July 2023, several games are also set to leave the service this month. Microsoft has officially announced that five games will be removed from Xbox Game Pass on July 31. As a result, fans might consider giving these games priority over exploring the new releases.
