One year after leaving Days of Our Lives, actress Camila Banus posted a mysterious message about her relationships with her former coworkers.

Banus, 33, took to Instagram to express her feelings, saying, "I don't understand why some people I used to work with are friends with untrustworthy individuals." She added, "I remember how those untrustworthy people treated me, and how others let it happen."

She went on to say that there were moments when no one spoke up, even though they knew something was not right. This included both men and women. The message she shared supposedly had emojis of a teapot and a cup of tea.

In November 2023, Banus wrapped up her 13-year stint as Gabi Hernandez on the popular show. In an interview with The Wrap six months earlier, she revealed that the show's transition from NBC to Peacock was a major factor in her choice to leave the series.

In May 2023, she shared with the outlet that despite the wonderful experience and great reception, she felt it was a signal for new changes in her life. It was like a starting point for her to move on to the next chapter.

She also mentioned that there were discussions with producers regarding adjusting her schedule to have more time off. She expressed her need to slow down and requested a shooting schedule that could accommodate her, but unfortunately, the negotiations did not succeed. She decided to gracefully step back and express her gratitude.

Shortly after she announced her departure from the show, it was revealed that the director and co-executive producer, Albert Alarr, was under investigation for misconduct on set. According to Deadline's report in July 2023, Alarr was accused of inappropriately touching cast members and kissing a cast member without her permission. The investigation was initiated after a complaint was filed by an employee who alleged that female employees were disproportionately affected by recent layoffs.

Alarr denied the allegations, but multiple cast members signed a petition asking for Alarr to be replaced. He ultimately parted ways with Days in August 2023.

Earlier this year, former Days star Arianne Zucker filed a lawsuit against the show’s production company and executive producer Ken Corday for harassment, retaliation, discrimination and wrongful termination. She claimed that she and multiple women were sexually harassed on set. Zucker, 49, also alleged that Corday, 73, was aware of Alarr’s alleged misconduct.

Zucker alleged in court documents obtained in February that “Alarr, Corday [Production Inc.] and Ken Corday treated female employees disproportionately than male employees.” She stated that female employees, including hair and makeup artists and actresses, were often berated and given impossible tasks to complete within a limited time frame. Alarr was accused of yelling at female employees, bringing them to tears, while male employees were not treated in the same manner. Additionally, a female actress who expressed moral discomfort with a scene was fired by Corday and Ken Corday after complaining to Alarr.

Days' spokesperson refuted the lawsuit's allegations in a statement to Us, stating that Corday Productions had offered to renew Ms. Zucker's contract with a pay raise. The spokesperson clarified that rejecting Ms. Zucker's counteroffer was not considered retaliation. They also mentioned that complaints about Mr. Alarr's behavior on set were investigated promptly. Corday Productions fully cooperated with the impartial investigation and ultimately decided to terminate Mr. Alarr.
