Recently, the Shameless actors reunited and shared two selfie photos on Rossum's Instagram account. In the first photo, they can be seen smiling brightly at the camera, while the second photo captures a more serious and composed demeanor.

Cutkosky, who portrayed the character of Carl, was a mere 12 years old when he commenced his acting career on the show. In contrast, Rossum, who portrayed the 21-year-old Fiona, was 25 at the time. Although Rossum had already experienced a breakthrough early in her career as Christine in the 2004 film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera, Shameless marked one of Cutkosky's initial forays into on-screen roles.

Following the show, Rossum went on to appear in two TV miniseries, namely Angelyne and The Crowded Room. Cutkosky's career has been relatively quiet since the conclusion, with only a single episode appearance on The Conners in 2022 and an episode of Law & Order: SVU in 2021.
