Season 5 of Stranger Things was initially set to start filming in May 2023. However, due to the Hollywood strikes, production was delayed until January. Wolfhard mentioned that he is okay with the show taking a bit longer to complete and is thankful to be part of the cast.
He expressed, "I'm not frustrated at all. It is what it is. I have dedicated so much time to this show, it's become a big part of my life. It's the show that kickstarted my career and shaped who I am. The only frustrating part is the anticipation of wanting to see it and having to wait. I just want people to see it as much as I do. But as for the rest, I owe so much to Stranger Things. I'll wait for however long it takes. It's out of my control, so I prefer to go with the flow."

Wolfhard is happy to be back on set with his fellow actors. However, the fact that filming has started means that the realization that the series is coming to an end is sinking in.
He expressed his feelings by saying, "You try to focus on being in the moment, but at the same time, you can't help but feel conflicted knowing that this is the final season. I'm trying to strike a balance between enjoying the present and acknowledging that this will be the last one. Overall, it has been a great experience."
Wolfhard landed a role on the popular show Stranger Things when he was just 13 years old. The show is a sci-fi hit set in the 1980s, taking place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. As fans eagerly await the release of season 5 on Netflix, Brown recently revealed that the cast still has nine more months of filming to go.
