Final Fantasy 7 fans can expect some exciting surprises in the upcoming JRPG, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Director Naoki Hamaguchi has hinted that besides Zack Fair, several other characters from related spin-offs will also make appearances in the game. The highly anticipated second part of the FF7 Remake is scheduled for release in February 2024, generating a lot of anticipation. Square Enix has been sharing exciting details about the game, including Chocobo Farming mechanics, an immersive open-world, and thrilling battle mechanics. Additionally, the story will feature Zack Fair, who, in the original game and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7, tragically dies a heroic death before reaching Midgar. However, in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Zack Fair miraculously survives and is poised to play a significant role in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
During an interview with TechRaptor and Hamaguchi, the director was questioned about the story, particularly Zack Fair's expanded role in Rebirth. Hamaguchi revealed that Zack will have a significantly larger part in Rebirth compared to the original, which is why Crisis Core was remade in 2022 as a means to introduce new players to his character. Additionally, Hamaguchi mentioned that besides Zack, other characters from Final Fantasy 7 spin-offs will make appearances in Rebirth, although he chose not to provide specific details about who these characters might be. In order to avoid giving away any major spoilers, it can be confirmed that besides Zack, who did not appear in the original Final Fantasy VII, there will be other characters from FFVII spin-offs featured in Rebirth.
