Celtic is keen on retaining the 24-year-old and would only entertain the possibility of selling him for a substantial transfer fee. As part of the agreement, Benfica would be entitled to receive 30% of any prospective transfer fee for Jota. The winger initially joined Celtic on loan in 2021, but the purchase option was activated by the Glasgow club in the previous summer.
Jota agreed to a five-year contract and recorded 15 goals as well as 12 assists in the previous season.
Following their acquisition by PIF, Al-Ittihad recently secured the signings of Karim Benzema from Real Madrid and N'Golo Kante from Chelsea.

It is understood paperwork is being finalised and the Hoops hope to complete the transfer this week.
Australian international, aged 21, possesses skills to excel on the wings as well as operate as a center forward. This acquisition would mark Brendan Rodgers' second signing upon his return, as manager, to the club. During the previous season, Tilio demonstrated his prowess by netting an impressive nine goals for Melbourne City, reigning champions of the A-League.

Celtic have already secured the services of midfielder Odin Thiago Holm on a five-year contract, making him Rodgers' first signing upon his return to Glasgow. "We won't be bringing in a large number of players, though."
