Exciting news for fans of Zayn Malik! The singer recently revealed that he will be releasing new music soon.

During a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 13, Malik stopped by to promote his upcoming fourth album, Room Under the Stairs. He walked out on stage and handed Jimmy Fallon a coffee mug and a note card.

"Hey Jimmy, check out my album on your right. My new single 'What I Am' will be released this Friday from my upcoming album Room Under the Stairs, which will be available on May 17. I hope you enjoy it!" the note said.

After playing a snippet of the new single, Malik left the studio quietly, leaving Fallon (and the audience) eagerly anticipating more.

In early March, Malik started hinting at his upcoming project on Instagram. He posted a video montage on March 8 that gave a sneak peek into the inspiration behind his new album.

In the clip, he expressed, "I want the listeners to really understand me on a personal level through this album. I want them to see my ambitions, my fears... and to connect with that. That's why it's so raw, you know?"

He continued to reveal more details in the following weeks, giving fans a sneak peek of the first single from the album. Sharing a snippet of the lyrics on Instagram, he wrote, "If I told you I loved you, would you say that it's f—ked up? 15.03.2024."
