Disney Plus is cracking down on account sharing earlier than expected in one region. The popular streaming service, known for its collection of Marvel and Star Wars content, as well as classic animated films, has been lenient about password sharing until now. However, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced plans to change this in August.

Subscribers in Canada received an email on September 26, notifying them of impending changes to the subscriber agreement. These changes will take effect on the next billing date on or after November 1. The email states that there will be restrictions on sharing account or login credentials outside of the household. The timeline for these measures to be implemented for subscribers in the U.S. and other regions is currently unknown.
