In response, Trammel expressed his eagerness for the public to witness the show, emphasizing the hard work and attention to detail put in by the dedicated crew. Despite a lack of concrete updates, he assured fans that the project was still underway and expressed excitement for its eventual release. However, with the recent removal of content from Disney's streaming platform, including the cancellation of the Spiderwick Chronicles series, doubts and worries have emerged among Marvel fans. These uncertainties arise from Disney CEO Bob Iger's plans to reduce content production for Disney Plus, along with other circulating rumors.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year is a prequel in the MCU, but it diverges from the main storyline as a multiverse tale. Consequently, this allows the show to establish itself as an independent Spider-Man project, unconnected to the broader MCU, enabling the inclusion of any desired characters. However, since it lacks ties to the rest of the MCU, it remains susceptible to cancellation without impacting future endeavors.
