The staff of the Pokémon Horizons anime series announced on October 20, 2023, that the series will be entering a new arc. They also released a promotional video and a new key visual for the upcoming arc. Furthermore, a new theme song for the arc was announced and previewed in the promotional video.

Since its premiere in April 2023, the Pokémon Horizons anime series has gained immense popularity among Japanese and international fans, despite not having an English dub. It is expected that the new arc, titled "The Brilliance of Terapagos" (Terapagos no Kagayaki), will further enhance the series' popularity both domestically and internationally.

Dual protagonists Roy and Liko are expected to play a prominent role in the new story arc of the Pokémon Horizons anime. The Pokémon Horizons anime has unveiled a new promotional video for its upcoming story arc, measuring approximately 45 seconds in length. This concise trailer lays the foundation for the arc's central storyline, presenting Liko's quest to locate an individual depicted in a photograph and the potential connection to Terapagos. Moreover, the teaser provides a glimpse into the core cast's forthcoming expedition across diverse regions.

The promotional video for The Brilliance of Terapagos story arc also offers a sneak peek at the series' upcoming arc. Along with this exciting preview, fans can look forward to a brand new opening theme titled "Hello," to be performed by yama and BotchiBoromaru. Don't miss the debut of this captivating theme song in the 26th episode, scheduled to air on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Saori Den is the director of the anime series, while Daiki Tomiyasu fulfills the role of creative director. Dai Sato is responsible for overseeing the series' scripts, and Tetsuo Yajima serves as the action director. Rei Yamazaki takes on the role of character designer, with Kyoko Ito as the sub-character designer. Masafumi Mima is in charge of sound direction, and Conisch composes the music for the series. An English dub for the anime is expected to be released in the near future.

The new series introduces two fresh protagonists, Liko and Roy. It showcases the three starter Pokémon from the Scarlet and Violet video games of the ninth generation, namely Sprigatito, Fuecococ, and Quaxly. Additionally, the anime will feature the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in its Shiny form. Alongside Liko and Roy, Friede and Captain Pikachu, a professor and partner duo, also play significant roles in the series.
