Devil May Cry plot

Devil May Cry, an action-adventure game by Capcom, was initially created as a prototype for Resident Evil 4. Since its launch in 2001, this game has developed into a successful franchise, consisting of six games and a 2007 animated series produced by Madhouse.

The 2007 version of the story was set between the games Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2. However, the upcoming Netflix adaptation will center around a younger version of the protagonist Dante, who was introduced in the prequel Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening. The series will be produced by Seoul-based animation studio Studio Mir, renowned for their work on The Legend of Korra. The release date for the series is set for 2024.
