Kourtney Kardashian is ensuring a smooth journey as she anticipates the arrival of her debut baby alongside Travis Barker — however, there is no need for alarm.
"Kourtney's health is in excellent condition, the bed rest is purely a preventive measure," a trusted source reveals exclusively to us, following the reality star's absence from sister Kim Kardashian's 43rd birthday celebration.
Kourtney, who shares three children - Mason, Penelope, and Reign - with her ex Scott Disick, is anticipated to give birth in the near future. According to a source, her due date is within the next two weeks, although it won't be an induced delivery.
Throughout her fourth pregnancy, Kourtney has been keeping her followers informed about significant milestones. In June, she disclosed her pregnancy by holding up a handwritten sign at a Blink-182 concert that said, "Travis, I'm pregnant." Additionally, the couple confirmed during the same month that they are expecting a son.
The original plan for the Poosh founder was to accompany Barker on an overseas tour. However, in a surprising turn of events, Barker unexpectedly flew back home in September. Shortly after, Kourtney disclosed that she had been rushed to the hospital in preparation for the birth of her fourth child.

"I am deeply indebted to my incredible doctors for their role in saving our baby's life. My eternal gratitude goes to my husband, who promptly came by my side from his tour and supported me throughout my hospital stay and recovery. He has been my unwavering support system," Kourtney conveyed via Instagram. "Additionally, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to my mother for being there for me every step of the way. As someone who had previously experienced three uncomplicated pregnancies, I was unprepared for the overwhelming fear that comes with urgent fetal surgery."
She further added, "Only those who have gone through a similar ordeal can truly comprehend the depth of that fear. I now have a newfound appreciation and respect for the strength of mothers who have fought for their babies' lives while being pregnant. I am grateful to God. Leaving the hospital with my baby boy safely growing in my womb was the most precious blessing."
Kourtney has provided further insight into her alarming health scare, describing it as a transformative experience during an interview with Vogue on October 17. She expressed her surprise at discovering that insurance typically only covers two ultrasounds during pregnancy, a fact she was previously unaware of. Kourtney acknowledged her fortune in being able to undergo additional ultrasounds, one of which proved critical in saving her baby's life.
Remaining focused on maintaining a calm demeanor, Kourtney shared her relief at finally letting go of the fear and anxiety that others had instilled in her during her pregnancy. She expressed readiness to approach childbirth with a positive mindset, embracing the experience as it was meant to be.
