Suits concluded its final season almost four years ago, yet it has experienced a recent surge in popularity on streaming platforms. As a result, many viewers are now hopeful for a potential reboot of the show.
During an interview with TVLine, executive producer Gene Klein shared his thoughts on the possibility of a revival. Klein mentioned that he had discussed the idea with creator Aaron Korsh, expressing that he wouldn't be surprised if he received a call considering the current trend of reboots and reunions. However, he clarified that he is not aware of any serious conversations regarding a reboot at the moment. In this day and age, it wouldn't be unexpected to receive such a call someday.
Klein expressed his doubts about the possibility of reuniting the original cast members, particularly Meghan Markle, who portrayed Rachel Zane in the show's initial seven seasons. When asked if he thought the Duchess of Sussex, now 41, would return, Klein replied, "I would assume that's just not possible."
In November 2017, Suits producers revealed Meghan's departure from the USA Network series following her engagement to Prince Harry. Her character's storyline concluded in the season 7 finale, as Rachel and her husband, Mike (played by Patrick J. Adams), relocated to Seattle.
"I don't view it as sacrificing anything. It's simply a transition. It marks the beginning of a new chapter, doesn't it?" Meghan expressed during a joint BBC interview with Harry, aged 38, shortly after their engagement. "I've accomplished this goal, and I take great pride in the work I've done there. Now, it's time for us to collaborate as a team."
As for Harry, he conveyed in his memoir "Spare" that he wasn't particularly fond of Suits, mostly due to his discomfort with witnessing Meghan's intimate scenes with Adams, aged 41. "Those images would require electric-shock therapy to erase from my mind," Harry quipped in his revealing book, which was released in January.

Harry claimed that his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law Princess Kate were devoted fans of the legal drama Pearson Specter Litt. He humorously expressed concern that they might now ask Meghan for an autograph, jokingly suggesting that he had previously worried about their acceptance of her into the family. Joining the royal couple, viewership numbers for the show have skyrocketed since it became available on Netflix in June. In fact, in the week of June 29, Suits accumulated an impressive 3.1 billion minutes of streaming on both Netflix and Peacock, setting a record on the Nielsen streaming chart for an acquired title.
Klein expressed his surprise about the streaming success of Suits. When asked about it, he told TVLine, "I'm extremely proud of the show. I had a feeling that when it became available on Netflix, it would gain more viewership, but I never anticipated something like this. It's amazing to see that people are sticking with it. It's truly wonderful."
