Exclusive: Get a Sneak Peek of Avatar 3 with this Never-Before-Seen BTS Image

Avatar 3 fans get a sneak peek into the upcoming sequel with a thrilling BTS image released by the producer Despite the recent delays caused by Disney's reshuffling of release dates, excitement continues to build for James Cameron's highly anticipated franchise

Disney has shaken things up in the release calendar, leading to a one-year delay in the theatrical release of Avatar 3 and subsequent impact on the franchise's following films. Despite the setback, producer Jon Landau has offered a glimpse into the Avatar 3 set through the first behind-the-scenes image, emphasizing that the wait will be worthwhile for fans. With the previous two films in the franchise having enjoyed great success at the box office, Avatar 3 has become the focus of attention for both fans and critics. However, the release date has now been pushed back to December 19, 2025, from its initial plan of December 20, 2024. The reshuffling of the release calendar confirms the production of three more Avatar films, with Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 now set to release on December 21, 2029, and December 19, 2031, respectively, three years later than originally planned. The final chapter of the franchise will arrive 22 years after the release of the original blockbuster in 2009.

Producer Landau recently took to his official Twitter account to share an intriguing image from the set of Avatar 3. The image features a young Na'vi, the indigenous people of Pandora, alongside another Na'vi wearing what appears to be armor. While the identity of the characters remains unknown, Landau's caption assures fans that the team is hard at work to deliver an epic film that meets the high standards of both filmmakers and audiences. With a release date set for December 2025, anticipation for Avatar 3 continues to grow. While plot details are being kept under wraps, director James Cameron has previously hinted that the focus will shift away from the original protagonist and towards the Na'vi characters, possibly involving conflicts with other tribes on Pandora.

The Disney reshuffle has not only affected the Avatar franchise but also several movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars have been delayed, with the latter being pushed back by two years. Additionally, the Writers Guild of America strike has impacted multiple projects in the MCU, including Spider-Man 4 which has been eagerly anticipated by fans. Unfortunately, Tom Holland has confirmed that meetings for the movie are currently on pause. On a positive note, Avatar 3 is set to hit theaters on December 19, 2025.
