In anticipation of Loki season 2, an enthusiastic fan (@havanesemom13) shared an intriguing early render of Throg on social media. The render depicted Throg facing off against Loki in a deleted scene. In the clip, Throg expresses his anger towards Loki for transforming him into a frog and hurls Mjolnir at him. Throg then delivers a powerful blow to Loki's chin, resulting in a thunderous impact. As lightning electrifies Loki, Throg grins before the scene freezes. It was later revealed that this sequence was being replayed in the TVA.
The reason for removing this humorous scene remains unknown. Throg, a tiny creature with Hemsworth's voice, made a brief appearance in the final version of Loki season 1, although his screen time was minimal. In one specific scene, the character is seen struggling to free himself from a hole, leaving viewers entertained and curious about his role in the show. It was previously mentioned that Hemsworth recorded some lines for Throg in the series. Although the character remained silent in the final cut, Loki director Kate Herron found it impressive that they managed to have Hemsworth record new dialogue rather than reusing old lines.
