During the "Straight Up With Stassi" podcast episode on Wednesday, June 21, Kristina Kelly, a former SUR waitress, claimed that the Vanderpump Rules production team deliberately provoked an argument while the cast was on the notorious girls' trip to Las Vegas in season 10.

Kristina alleged that Raquel Leviss was shown footage of Lala Kent, Katie Maloney, and herself talking negatively about her. Upset by this revelation, Kristina and the others confronted a producer about the situation, only to discover that it was a new producer responsible for the incident. The cast trip took an unexpected turn when Raquel and Charli Burnett decided to leave after a tense group dinner. However, a source close to production contradicts Kristina's claims, stating that there is no truth to the crew's involvement in showing Raquel the footage.

During a Vanderpump Rules episode in March, tensions arose between Lala, Katie, and Kristina against Raquel. The conflict stemmed from Raquel hooking up with Oliver Saunders, the son of Garcelle Beauvais whom they met at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant in Sin City. Raquel defended herself by claiming that she had Lala's permission to explore her feelings for the waiter.

Lala expressed her distrust, stating, "You asked me, and I told you to go for it. But seeing you drink? I would never trust you around my man." Raquel cleverly responded by pointing out that it was fortunate that Lala didn't have a man to hide from her.

Kristina expressed doubts about the genuineness of the aftermath of the argument after reviewing the scene. She believed that the narrative was being manipulated because it interfered with the filming process. According to her, the producers seemed determined to portray Raquel as a victim while painting them as bullies. "They wanted to create a storyline for her, so they needed to make sure she was aware of what was said that night in Las Vegas," Kristina stated on Wednesday. Additionally, the founder of Heartspring accused the show's producers of editing certain moments in a way that distorted their true meaning.

Kristina clarified that they also captured footage of Raquel crying in bed. The editing of the scene made it seem like she overheard them talking about her and then went to bed with her galaxy lights, where she started crying. However, Kristina explained that Raquel was actually crying over Ariana Madix's dog. They had just learned about the dog's passing, and Raquel got into bed and FaceTimed Ariana. Kristina believes that the way the scene was portrayed made them appear like mean girls who caused Raquel's tears. The production source, on the other hand, denies this and insists that Raquel was upset about the comments made by her costars.

During the show, viewers witnessed the unfolding drama as news of Tom Sandoval's affair with Raquel led to his breakup with Ariana. Weeks later, the cast reconvened for the reunion taping to address the scandal and its consequences. In a confessional filmed a few days after, Raquel shed light on the alleged timeline of her affair with the 40-year-old TomTom cofounder. This dramatic revelation occurred in the closing moments of the June 7 reunion episodes, following their attempts to defend themselves throughout part 3.

"I believe it is crucial for me to be honest. I have realized that I have been dishonest and deceitful for far too long, and I no longer wish to continue lying. Besides, everything is already out in the open. Despite this, I still find myself needing to fabricate details about specific timelines," she confessed emotionally. "Sandoval thinks it would be less painful to say that this situation didn't last as long. However, the truth is that it happened for the second time during Mexico, specifically at Scheana Shay and Brock Davies' wedding in August 2022."

After the shocking revelation, a source provided an update on how Raquel is coping with the public backlash.

Raquel voluntarily checked into an inpatient behavioral health and trauma facility after filming the reunion and is still there after 68 days. According to an insider, her treatment is helping her understand the reasons behind her decisions and grow from her mistakes. Despite her remorse and repeated apologies, Raquel is eager to share her story and the unfiltered truth when she completes her treatment. Meanwhile, the Pump Rules cast has been discussing the scandal off camera, with Lala sharing her thoughts on why she believes Raquel was destined to be the fan favorite in season 10.

"She would have been the clear winner of the season, the top contender, if only she wasn't so consumed with regret over lost time," the author of Give Them Lala expressed on her podcast in May, discussing Raquel's tearful confessions about her breakup with James Kennedy. "Was her intense crying a result of her overwhelming guilt? The line had been crossed long before they slept together. The emotional betrayal had already begun."

During that time, Lala expressed that she was open to the possibility of Raquel finding redemption, stating, "Despite my constant criticism of her, I do recognize that she is a deeply wounded individual. I don't believe she lacks a heart or a soul."
