Exclusive: 90 Day Fiance's Big Ed Opens Up About the Turning Point in Relationship with Former Fiancee Liz Woods

Ed Brown, also known as "Big Ed," recently opened up about what led to the end of his engagement with his ex-fiancée Liz Woods. He shared that he had realized a few months ago that the relationship wasn't going to work out and that he wasn't truly happy. During a taco pasta night, Liz had a meltdown, which was a turning point for Ed. His sister, who witnessed the incident, gave him a look that seemed to say, "Don't go through with this."

He kept thinking about what his mom had told him, "If you marry her, you'll be unhappy forever."

On the April 21 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Liz remembered a fight they had after Ed cooked taco pasta.

Liz expressed her displeasure about Ed's reaction to Ryleigh's spicy dish during a confessional. She mentioned that Ed called her out after she confronted him, leading to a heated argument in front of his family.

I started texting the venue to request a refund. While I was doing that, Liz called me. I thought she was calling to apologize, but she didn't. She mentioned that we had a date night planned for that evening. I asked her if she wanted to discuss what happened the night before, but she didn't seem interested in that.

This made me realize that neither of us really addressed our problems. Instead, we would just ignore them and move on with our lives. We never took the time to work through our issues together. This eventually led me to the decision that I didn't want to continue with our relationship.

Ed, who proposed to Liz in November 2021, confessed that he has "definitely" felt remorse about how he handled canceling the wedding.

He shared, "I thought I had told Liz, but maybe she didn't hear me or didn't believe me. It wasn't until our officiant contacted her and apologized that it really hit her that it was over. I spoke to him a couple weeks later in San Diego, and he mentioned, 'When she received the message, she was devastated.' That part really hurt."
